Hallmark Scheme Underway

Today (24th May 2008) marked the first Hallmark Scheme inspection in Wiltshire. Ashton Keynes Village Hall decided to try for Hallmark 1 and 2. The inspection was very positive and attended by 5 of the Management Committee. Hallmark 1 (Charity Administration and Management) was awarded first; followed by a further inspection for Hallmark 2 (Health, Safety, Security and Licences). The Village Hall (and the Management Committee) achieved the necessary marks for the awards and so the scheme in Wiltshire is underway. A spokesman for the Management Committee said "It is wonderful to be the first Wiltshire Village Hall to go in for the Hallmark scheme, even more wonderful that we achieved both levels. The things needed to achieve Hallmark 1 should be the same for every Village Hall and so lets hope the scheme really takes of within the County".
